What exactly is a street team?
I’m glad you asked. For me, a street team is part of my family. A family that believes in the work that I am doing. And because of that belief, they want to share my works with others.
Who am I? Just Lorrie. Your sister. Your friend. Your family member. The girl next door. Classmate from high school. Member of your church. A kind stranger. And a daughter of the King.
Those relationships inspire me to write words of fiction with a powerful testimony of redemption. Not beat you over the head religion, but love and grace and mercy. Doesn’t mean my work is sweet all the time. It’s made-up real life stories and life can be difficult. It’s beautiful but painful.
I believe in the power of a story to change lives. One story at a time. One life at a time. And if you believe, you’re a huge part of what my prayer is for the story. You are the life-line of the work. The delivering hands. The feet on the street.
We’re all part of the team, working for the same King. Want you consider joining me? Not for glory. Not for fame. Not for me. But for the story of redemption. The power of words. And lives changed.
What does a Street Team do?
The team is given the ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) and asked to read the book prior to release date, then post a review on Amazon, Goodreads, and wherever the book is available.
Post a review only if you liked the book. If you didn’t like the book…you aren’t required to do anything.
And that’s it. Read and post a review. Ready to hit the streets?

Nothing.
More is up to you. The review is the greatest help on the streets.
Beyond the review–is like the cherry on top, but not mandatory. Here are a few ideas:
- Talk about the book on social media sites.
- Blog about the book.
- Direct people to the author’s website.
- Suggest the author’s latest book to a book club.
- Request their local library order the book.
- And the list can go on!
